Try composition before generation
Check whether a small crop removes an edge distraction while preserving the landmark and its surroundings. Straighten the horizon if that suits your image, but avoid cutting off a building merely to lose a nearby bin. For example, a cup in the bottom corner may disappear with a modest crop, while a person standing across a mosaic may be better left in the scene. Keep the uncropped source so you can reconsider later.
Protect the details that define the place
Identify signs, architectural patterns, artwork, and landscape edges that should remain unchanged. If using removal, describe one incidental object rather than asking for a completely clean scene. Inspect the generated area for invented brickwork, duplicated windows, or letters that no longer make sense. Removing something does not uncover an authentic view behind it. Where the hidden detail matters to the memory, another photograph from the same visit may serve you better than a generated replacement.
Match the edit to the audience
A decorative travel print and a factual account of a crowded event serve different purposes. If the edit changes how busy or accessible a location appears, explain the alteration when sharing it in a context where that distinction matters. Do not present the result as proof that a place was empty. Compare the final image both enlarged and at the size you intend to publish. If your eye now lands on an odd texture rather than the subject, choose a lighter edit or the original. Leaving a small distraction is often the more coherent decision.
